Respite Care Services

Sometimes those providing care for a relative at home need time for themselves or may wish to take a holiday so we offer short term respite care services and depending on your personal circumstances, the social services may fund respite care for a limited period.

If social services agree to fund respite care they will supply a number of vouchers that you can use throughout the year. At Northwood many people use this voucher system with us regularly and have done so for several years. During these short stays we try to assist with any medical, health or other problems of concern so that when you go home you feel refreshed.

Rehabilitative Care Services

We have previously been selected by the Health Care NHS Trust to take part in a very successful intermediate care pilot involving continuing inpatient care and rehabilitation for NHS patients. The selection and tender process was very thorough and these intermediate nursing care services aimed to help people following discharge from hospital by preparing them for return to their own homes.

If you wish to continue to live at home we can also help you achieve this through short term individual rehabilitation programmes to help realise your potential, regain your independence and generally improve your quality of life.
